Character

Authors Note: “This writing piece is going to be on a specific character in the City of Ember and going to talk about how her attitudes are and what are her beliefs”.

            Imagine you lived in the City of Ember? How would you feel being in the dark all day and barely any sunlight? Could you imagine working all day on your city that is not getting better at all?  Well that’s the City of Ember for you, that city has absolutely no sunlight whatsoever. They depend on these flood lamps that could go out at any time. There is one character that stands out the most though and that character is Lina.

            Throughout this book so far, Lina has always wanted to run, and the job she got was a pipe cleaner which is more underground than the city of ember if you can believe that but pipe cleaners just sit around and clean the leaks in the pipes and replace them if needed and they get absolutely no sunlight at all and Lina was hoping for a job such as a messenger where you could be free not be trapped in these tunnels that’s pitch dark all day. To get the main idea through your head Lina the main character in the City of Ember doesn’t really want to help the city she wants to do what’s best for her.

            To wrap things up this book the City of Ember looks like it’s going to turn out a really interesting book and I can’t wait to read more, Lina on the other hand looks like a really interesting character because of her attitude and how she wants to do what’s best for her and not help the city like most graduating students have in the past.
